I do prefer desktops when it comes to gaming I couldn't live without a laptop as I'm often on the move. While my favourite toy costs quite a bit over a lakh I do have a 'travel' laptop that's a bit cheaper, under fifty five thousand as I do not feel comfortable going around with a pricey one since a friend of mine has already encountered a situation while onroad.
I like to get the most for my money and since I am quite a gamer, a laptop that can't
handle them ain't an option.
After a vast search i shortlisted two of the most 'value for money' gaming laptops which I'm gonna talk bout in this blog.
What was I looking for?
There are some specifications you should look for when buying a gaming computer.
A better GPU or as most of the people know them 'graphics card' (you really need a good one if you want an amazing experience during gameplay)
Minimum 15.6" screen display (maybe not important for others but for me)
No less than 4GB Ram (preferably 8, to keep things running smoothly)
1TB hard drive (as these days games are becoming more and more space hungry, a 500GB
hard drive wouldn't fulfill your needs, trust me )
You don't really get such specifications if not for a big value, but here I present you:
1.Samsung NP550P5C-S05IN @ ₹ 61250
OK, I know this one is a tad more than 60000 but it is well worth it as it meets
all the criteria for a good gaming computer.
It's one of the rare computers with a Intel® Core™ HM76 i7 Processor 3630QM
(2.4GHz, 6MB L3 Cache), Nvidia GeForce GT 650m DDR3 2GB graphics
cards, 1600x900px resolution HD SuperBright LED Anti Reflective Display and
blu-ray drive you can get for a price as low as this.
This monster will easily handle all the modern games and can well compete with the
gaming computers from higher price range.
It was designed as a gaming laptop and this is what it is. It's built to best suit
gamers, the keyboard is very sensitive (it won't block if you press more keys at one
time - you can easily hold down 10 keys - if your fingers are that capable - and the
keyboard will detect them all).
Let's get to the gaming part! My favourites Call of Duty : Black Ops ll, Assassin's
Creed lll and StarCraft ll : Heart of the Swarn run supper smoothly, the gaming
experience is on the top. The more demanding games (Crysis 3...) still have a great
performance, better than expected.
If you can't afford this beast than you can buy the SAMSUNG NP550P5C-S06IN which
has all the features same as the S05IN except that it comes with the Intel® Core™
HM75 i5 Processor 3230QM (2.6GHz, 3MB L3 Cache)
Operating System - Windows 8 (64-bit)
Processor/Chipset - Intel® HM76 Core™ i7 Processor 3630QM (2.4GHz, 6MB L3 Cache)

Power - 6 Cell (56Wh) 90W AC Adapter
Dimension - 367.9 x 242.8 x 29.9 ~ 30.4mm
Weight - 2.5Kg
This is in my opinion of the best gaming laptop under 60000 from Sony!
This laptop also meets all the criteria I am looking for in a gaming computer.
What made this laptop stand out for me was its NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M
Graphics with 2GB gDDR3 Graphic Memory (Optimus™) and Intel® Core™ i5-3337U
Processor at a decent price of 50000 is worth to consider.
This one feels very light and I do love the design (color is a killer), it's very
responsive and can handle multitasking with easy. I could only test it with Assassin's
Creed lll and I was very pleased with the performance, loading times were super fast
and graphics run smoothly and with some decent upgrades like increasing the ram to
8GB (would cost around 2500-3000) would significantly boost its performance
(while this is not as important as having a great video card but a 8GB RAM memory
never hurts, never.)
It’s nice to see Sony making a real effort to produce a decent budget laptop, and
the attractive display and speakers with great graphics card on the Sony Vaio Fit
15E make it a good choice for gaming as well as entertainment.
